Donor & Collection Experience Specialist

Jess is a Seattle native and joins NMDP after 5 years in the medical field as a medical assistant. She loves music, theater, dance, and travel and looks forward to helping people every day.

Hannah Erskine

Clinical Nurse Manager

In addition to travel and paddleboarding, Hannah loves to explore Seattle by foot. She is continually inspired by the “endless possibilities” created by the center.

Kathryn Young

Donor & Collection Experience Specialist (Donor Navigator)

Before joining the team at NMDP℠, Kathryn worked in healthcare for a little over 10 years as a Child Life Specialist, helping children cope with hospital procedures, diagnoses, and admissions. Kathryn loves being active and sharing all things outdoors with her rescue dog, Scarlett.

As a local Houstonian, Altonet enjoys exploring the local parks and museums. She delights in preparing home-cooked meals and battling her family in a game of UNO or Connect Four. As a previous marrow donor herself, Altonet will make you feel at home in H-town.

Anna Brown

Donor Experience Specialist

Born and raised in the suburbs of Houston, Anna is a proud mom of 3 little girls. In her precious spare time, she loves to cook alongside her husband and explore fun new places to eat. She’ll make sure your experience in the Space City is out of this world!

About our New York location

Located in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper East Side neighborhood, this NMDP℠ facility is operated in partnership with New York Blood Center (NYBC). NYBC is one of the largest community-based, non-profit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States. NYBC’s highly trained staff will ensure your donation experience is comfortable and as safe as possible.

The state-of-the-art Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Gift of Life – NMDP℠ Collection Center is located at Gift of Life’s global headquarters in Boca Raton within South Florida’s renowned life-sciences corridor. We proudly serve donors from both the Gift of Life Marrow Registry and NMDP℠. The center offers a donation experience like no other. Our nation’s capital of Washington, D.C., is home to the NMDP℠ Blood and Marrow Collection Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital—the largest Collection Center in the country. With a team dedicated to bone marrow and stem cell donations, MedStar Health physicians, nurses and staff are devoted to ensuring your donation process is as safe and comfortable as possible.

Zion

About our Zion location

Our center in Zion, IL is located just north of Chicago, blocks from the shores of Lake Michigan, this facility is a NMDP℠ partner location that shares space with City of Hope Chicago. Premium entertainment options and a dedicated Donor Experience Specialist in a comfortable clinical setting converge to make your donation as smooth and safe as possible.

What airport do I fly to?

You will fly into Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport or Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport, both airports are approximately 40 miles from the center.

What part of town will I be staying in?

Most of our donors choose to stay in nearby Kenosha Wisconsin. Just 20 minutes from our Zion collection center, Kenosha is a lake-side town with a beach boardwalk, electric street cars, museums (including a dinosaur museum and a Civil War museum), public markets, lighthouses, a sculpture garden, a Native American nature sanctuary, and an abundance of restaurants and shops.

For donors wishing to be as close as possible to the collection center, we also offer the option of staying right in Zion. Either way, your Donor Experience Specialist will ensure a car service or ride share is set up to get you from your hotel to and from your collection.

She comes from an emergency medical services background and still spends weekends working as a paramedic at an amusement park. Mackenzie has dreamed of working for NMDP℠ since she donated bone marrow a few years ago, and she is excited to be a part of your experience.
